His journey began in high school as a dancer specializing in cultural dance, also excelling as a drummer and a member of the school’s musical band. Asake graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state, where he studied Theatre & Performing Arts.

In 2015, he embarked on his music career professionally, starting as a backup for skit-maker Broda Shaggi. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the release of “Lady,” produced by Blaque Beats. This track garnered attention after being reposted by Tunde Ednut, Broda Shaggi, and Sydney Talker.

Asake’s entry into the YBNL Nation was marked by an invitation from Olamide himself, after Yhemolee played one of his songs for Olamide. The official announcement came on February 8, 2022. His debut EP “Ololade” was released in the same month, featuring his hit “Omo Ope” with Olamide, and the remixed version of “Sungba” with Burna Boy.

Following a distribution deal with Empire in July 2022, Asake launched his debut album, “Mr. Money With The Vibe,” on September 8, 2022. The album includes popular tracks like “Terminator,” “Peace Be Unto You,” and the “Sungba Remix with Burna Boy,” receiving widespread acclaim from fans both in Nigeria and globally.
